Local Family Session

Occasionally between weddings I find time to shoot family sessions. Here is just a page I will update upon occasion with portraits from those sessions to act kind of like a portfolio. Scroll down past all the words to get to the good stuff, or read on to find out about the experience.

Please keep in mind that I don’t generally book family sessions on weekends to keep room for my weddings, unless we are close to that date. I also don’t overbook myself so that my focus can be on my wedding clients, they always come first. That being said, when I have time I love to meet some of the families that make their way to Broken Bow, Oklahoma for vacation!

As you’ll notice below, Broken Bow offers a lot of beautiful locations in the Beavers Bend state park. Some families find that the cabin they’re staying in offers scenic views and we don’t even have to travel into the park to take stunning pictures.

What makes my family sessions unique?

I always strive for my portraits to be of the highest quality. I want to be able to be proud of what I send you at the end of the day. To do this I bring everything I need to be prepared for every situation.

At the same time family sessions should be fun, so I like to keep things light and let everyone be themselves. I keep all the technical details to myself so you can focus on just being yourselves and enjoying your time away from home.

To really benefit from your photography experience, I suggest scheduling a brief consultation meeting (preferably over zoom) to discuss your desired pictures, and your family’s personality and style. Also you can make a mood board on Pinterest to give me an idea of what you’re looking for. We could discuss activities to do, in order to make the portraits more life-like, and capture moments you usually share when you all get together.
